As an educator and author, my life goal is to help adolescents realize their potential and become their best. Through books for young adults, I hope to help young people not only enjoy engaging stories, but learn from them as well. Bibliotherapy is highly effective in helping readers not only process and understand their own circumstances, but avoid potential life pitfalls as well. Readers avoid life mistakes or grow with book characters who live with the same mistakes they have made.
JESS THE MESS, the first book in a series for young adults, deals with having an alcoholic parent; the second book, HELP ME DISAPPEAR, deals with sexting and cyberbullying; and the third in the series, JOSH BERGMAN HAS DISAPPEARED, takes the reader through the trials of homelessness and human trafficking. Join Jess and her friends as they work their way through not only middle school challenges, but prescient social issues as well. All books point the reader to the ultimate answer, Christ.
